Settlement Analysis of a Masonry Building
Re: Settlement Analysis of a Masonry Building
Hi,
In my recorder, I have selected several element results that I wish to view, such as material damage, material strain and stress, however I am unable to see them when I run the analysis.
Is this because they are not compatable with the element property, or physical properties I am using (It is a shell model) so shell.ASDShellQ4 (element) and sections.layered.shell (physical)

Re: Settlement Analysis of a Masonry Building
If you want to see strain/stress/damage in a fiber-shell, you need
section.fiber.strain (or stress or damage)
Of course, for damage, you need a physical property that has this output like the ASDConcrete3D or DamageTC3D

Re: Settlement Analysis of a Masonry Building
These are selected in my recorder, but not showing up in my analysis, I am looking to measure the stress at a point with time.
Thank you
Interestingly, I have downloaded a model from the Asdea website, where these results are selected in the recorder and I am able to view them in the analysis.

Re: Settlement Analysis of a Masonry Building
Could you share your SCD file? You should be able to see that result
Re: Settlement Analysis of a Masonry Building
I can see the results, the result in question is section force, however I cannot seem to plot the section force of the fiber with time, is there a specific graph type that i should select?
Thank you very much STKO team.

Re: Settlement Analysis of a Masonry Building
- First you need a proper plot to select the point for the extraction:
- For section.force -> use a Gauss Plot
- For section.fiber.stress -> use a Fiber Plot
- Choose the proper target, in this case, Fiber
- Here you can choose to extract against time or against another result. In this case: strain vs stress
Re: Settlement Analysis of a Masonry Building
I see that I able to measure these values using the fiber plot, however I am actually having trouble measuring the section-force and section-deformation, as these are visually displayed on the surface colour map plot, but can not be selected.
I would also like to ask, what F11, F12 and F22 donote, are these directional.
Thank you,

section.RESULT -> should be extracted using a Gauss Plot (see that I able to measure these values using the fiber plot, however I am actually having trouble measuring the section-force and section-deformation, as these are visually displayed on the surface colour map plot, but can not be selected.
means "on gauss points")section.
F11 = integral of sigma11 (i.e. along the local X axis of the element) through the thicknessF11, F12 and F22
F22 = same as above, but for sigma22 (local Y)
F12 = same as above, but for sigma12 (shear in the XY local plane)
