Bad termination of one of your application processes

Hello Dear STKO Team,

I am trying to model a simple cube element made of concrete (modeled with DamageTC3D material) subjected to compression by a concentrated force and I want to extract the stress-strain curve for this element. When I run the analysis, I get the attached message and, of course, there is no file created with the analysis. I will also attach the model. Please help.

You are partitioning in 4 parts a model that has too few elements.

Few other errors:

• the controlled DOF should be 3 (Uz) not 5 (Ry)
• the controlled target displacement should be negative for compression
• in the monitor Y-axis you should use either the reaction forces in Z (you need a selection set with the bottom face) or the Pseudo-time (which in displacement control is the load multiplier, in this case you can use 1 as reference force, and lambda will be the total force), if you want to measure the vertical force
• since you fixed all DOFs at the bottom face, and the top face is restrained in a RigidLink, you need to refine your mesh to simulate a uniaxial test. With just 1 element along the height, your model results in a fully confined compression test.
• fix the rotations of the control node, otherwise the top face may rotate due to round-off errors
