STKO does not start

Hi STKO Team,

I am experiencing a persistent issue with STKO v4.1. It stopped working suddenly yesterday and now fails to launch. I have tried reinstalling the software three times, but the problem persists.

After clicking through the initial command prompts, the program opens momentarily (see Snip 4) but immediately closes. I have attached the error logs from the Event Viewer (see Snip 5). Interestingly, after clearing the registry and reinstalling, the faulting module is now listed as "unknown." Previously, it cited an asw*.dll file (possibly related to an expiry date, though it is now blank).

My initial troubleshooting suggested a potential graphics card driver conflict, but I haven't made any recent hardware changes. I’ve been using a learning license for about 18 months on and off without issue until now.

Could you please look into this as soon as possible? I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Further to above, I started to get below pop up. Again, the programme show up about 3 seconds and disappears.

Dear user,
One of those errors shows that the license is exprired.
But it should run in free limited mode.
Are you saying that, when runnning in free limited mode, it fails to start?

If yes, Are you using a laptop with both an integrated and a dedicated GPU?

Thanks for your reply. I managed to restore my windows 10 a little and the according to the event viewer the error message is below.

I am using desktop and yes I have been using free learning licence.

According to AI, the AsWidgets.dll sounds like relating to OpenGL ?
I did not do anything special and suspect this it to do with Windows automatic updates on graphic card.

I have tried a lot of remedials from Ai but none worked so far.

What was the issue?

Not entirely sure what happened but I had to recreate my new profile.
