Mesh erro

Post by Wenyu » Sat Sep 10, 2022 3:28 am

Dear STKO team,
An error happens while creating input files, this error is related to mesh type.
The model consists of line elements for rebar and solid elements for concrete. The model is a simulation of quasi-static test. I think the reason for the error is the wrong choice of element properties, so I made some changes, but the problem is still not solved.
I would be most grateful if you could help me with how to solve this error.
Regards,
Wenyu

It's because you assigned the "beam element" (2 -nodes) to an interaction (163 nodes).
Please have a look at the webinar we gave.
There are many mistakes in this file:
- fiber sections are not properly defined
- boundary conditions for rigid links and embed constraints are not assigned

Thanks for you reply. I will check the model
