Hello guys,
I would like to know what the issue is with my code (denoted as test) below. When I draw the force-displacement graph in Excel, I will get a linear graph.
I would like to know how I can analyze it with reverse cycle analysis so that the graph looks like a hysteretic one.
I am using reverse cycle analysis and also self-centering material, but still, I get a linear and elastic behavior through force-displacement graph in Excel.
bear in mind that the column should remain elastic, but the force-displacement graph has to be hysteretic.
Can anyone help me with this?
How to conduct reverse cycle analysis in OpenSees to get a hysteretic force-displacement graph?

Hi, Please develop the same model in STKO and share it here. I will take a look at the model. It is time-consuming and challenging to go through the TCL script.

We cannot debug your tcl file.
But if you look at the stress strain output of your zerolength elements you will see that some nonlinearity is activated.
Probably you are looking at wrong data
