question about kit solver installation

Post by samu.00 » Tue May 21, 2024 7:49 pm

Good evening. How can I install kit solver? Thank you.
In the contact material how can I calculate all the associated parameters?

Hi, I think you meant OpenSees solvers. In that case, you can download it from Prof. Nicola's researchgate page (link below).

In all the models I have built it's going to continue appearing this error but I don't understand from which it could be caused.

It's probably because you are using sections->Iso2spring or sections->Uniaxial.
There was a small bug in the input (an extra unused argument)

It will be fixed in the next STKO release. In the meantime, unzip this folder (
sections_bugfix.zip
(2.6 KiB) Downloaded 159 times
) and copy/replace the 2 python files you will find inside, in the STKO installation folder:
C:\Program Files\STKO\external_solvers\opensees\physical_properties\sections

I tried to do what you recommended but I noticed that the files are already in the folder. I tried to replace them with files you have sent me but STKO's continuing to give me the same problem.

I've found problems with the simulation of a fyle which I have attached below. It refers to the reproduction of a 4 point test. The simulation starts but after it gives error of fail. The file's name is "primo campione".

Good morning, I'm modeling shear behaviour of an half-beam with a trasversal load by Python Opensees. It's a four points test and 1D model. I'm using and calibrating Hysteretic property to reproduce plastic shear behaviour. Values of hysteric are selected basing on experimental shear-mid displacement curve. I'm also modeling point of the support and of the load application point introducing zero length and equal dof to reproduce elastic shear behaviour in these points. Also hysteteric and bond-slip, for modeling bar-concrete adhesion, are assigned to points of shear plasticization. The beam segments have forcebeamcolumn assigned (could this give a problem of more rigidity?). I am not able to obtain shear-displacement curve because it's plane with a shear charge constantly equal to zero or debug says me that hysteteric doesn't have an unique input. How could I solve this? Thanks for collaboration.

Note:
Please if you change the argument of the discussion, open another topic

The issue related to the non-unique input of the hysteretic material means that multiple points have the same abscissa, and this is not allowed by that material
