Reset initialization phase displacements

Post by aziz_barzuk » Tue Feb 18, 2025 11:37 am

Hello,
Is it possible to set all displacement to zero without to lost the stress initialization field ?
I know about the "InitialStateAnalysis..." but maybe the ASDboundaryelement has not been thought to work with it especially if the calculus is switched in plastic mode after the stop of initial state wrapper
But I'm not so sure that it is so, Isn't it ?
So my question is if there is another way to perform a displacement reset after the initialization phase.
I specify that my model is about a "geotechnical problem" so I have a 2D plain strain state initialized in the elastic field (I gravity loading phase).

Thanks in advance.

Actually there is another way to perform a staged analysis without resetting displacements to zero.
We will talk about this in the next webinar (using the incremental features of multi point constraints)
