Forces concentrated in Zero-length axial springs

Post by Kate_Rhoades » Tue Sep 16, 2025 9:22 pm

Hello STKO team,

I've been working on the attached pushover model of an MVLEM shear wall. Pushover curve itself looks good, but, the forces look like they are concentrated in the springs, when the forces should be presenting within the wall. Is there something else that I should be considering with the axial springs? Or anything else that I am missing in the modeling or in the post-processor?

Thank you!

I added some custom element results (concrete, steel and shear responses) for the MVLEM in the MPCORecorder so that you can visualize them in the output.
