Error in analysis

Post by jarrar » Mon Sep 08, 2025 7:30 pm

I am trying to do a pushover analysis for a fiber section, following the webinar on YouTube with some tweaks making it forced based rather than displacement based.

WARNING system Mumps is unknown or not installed

while executing
"system Mumps -ICNTL14 200"
(file "analysis_steps.tcl" line 22)
invoked from within
"source analysis_steps.tcl"
(file ".\main.tcl" line 81)
Press any key to continue . . ."

i got this, when i download the file attached to the webinar and run it doesnt give me the mumps error, what might be the problem here?

If you use the MUMPS solver, it means you are doing a parallel partitioned analysis. If so, you have to 1) partition your mesh according to the number of processors you want, and 2) run the analysis with OpenSeesMP (OpenSees sequential does NOT know MUMPs, thus the error)
