Combination between test commands

Hi!

I want to ask if it is possible to combine two test commands in STKO, as in OpenSees or other softwares? For example, is it possible to use RelativeNormIncrTest + RelativeEnergyIncrTest?

Also, what are the recommendations about the best test commands to use in a non-linear static and dynamic analysis?

Many thanks in advance!

Not yet, as in OpenSees the NormDispAndUnbalance and NormDispOrUnbalance is relatively new. We have it in our todolist.

It depends on your problem. There is no unique answer.
Some advice:
  • If you use the penalty constrain handler, or you have very stiff elements in your model to simulate rigid parts, it's better to use NormDispIncr (as it will be difficult to reach small unbalance in a stiff problem)
  • On the contrary if you have a very soft problem, you would prefer the NormUnbalance
