Free Field Columns Implementation

Dear Stko Team. i would like to adress about how to implement free field columns in a Dynamic Slope Model.
I've seen in your examples that you model it separate from the soil body, but in the OpenSeesWiki example, they model it right next to the soil domain.
What is the difference?

In that example they just modelled the FF columns. It's fine if you don't have a super structure that may reflect waves towards those FF columns.

Yes, because in the middle there were absorbing dashpots
