Dear STKO Team,

I have been working on a simple 3D arch and want to apply varying displacements (in a linear manner, e.g., from 25mm to 0mm) along the longitudinal direction (near supports) of the arch at each node. To do this, I need to discretize the geometry in the longitudinal direction into individual nodes. Can you please help me with how to discretize the geometry into individual nodes and apply varying displacements at these nodes?

If you need to cut a line at very specific points, you can create vertices at those locations, and merge everything using the Merge command.

Alternatively you can use the function mode in the sp constraint, so that you can input a displacement which is function of x,y,z instead of a constant value
