Unit system of ElastomericX element

Dear STKO team,
In the webinar about seismic isolation, the tutorial uses the unit system of m-kg-N. If the unit system of mm-t-N is used to input parameters in the ElastomericX element, can OpenSEES calculate the correct result?

Hi, OpenSees follows a consistent unit system, which means you can use any unit system of your choice. However, it's important to note that all dimensions and material properties should be defined according to the chosen unit system. The results obtained will also be in the same unit system. As per the ElastomericX element's Wikipedia page (link below), both SI and Imperial unit systems can be used. However, please pay attention to the default values of the heating parameters, which are defined in SI units. If you want to use any other unit system, you will need to convert the values accordingly.
