STKO not using NVIDIA graphic card for analysis

Post by KaushalPatel » Mon Feb 26, 2024 9:24 am

Dear STKO team,

When I run the OpenSees MP (with mumps solver), it consumes too much memory as shown in the attachment. It slow down my workstation and I am not able to do other work. I am using Dell Precision 3660 workstation (32 Gb ram, 24 cores). I have added STKO in the NVIDIA graphic card 3D settings as shown in the installation guide (PFA). However, STKO does not utilize my NVIDIA graphic card while analyzing the results. I was using only 5 processors for the analysis for the screenshot attached below.

Please let me know if there is any way to solve this problem.

Thank you.

Regards,

STKO does not perform the analysis. It's OpenSees that performs the analysis.
And it does not use your NVIDIA card for computation (I think you are referring to CUDA).

Instead STKO uses the NVIDIA card to do rendering.
