layered shell element
layered shell element
I am doing a proposed static test of a shear wall structure and I found that the simulation results show that the structural stiffness is too high, does this indicate that the strains in my diagram below can be changed and is there any relationship between these strains?

Re: layered shell element
You should figure out yourself. The strain does not affect the initial stiffness

Re: layered shell element
It's important to verify the specimen's boundary conditions are accurately modeled. You can start by using elastic material properties for this check. Once the initial stiffness matches expectations, you can then switch to using the inelastic properties for further analysis.
