Does self-weight still need to be considered when calculating load after adding mass?

Dear Sir/Madam, I am currently doing a dynamic analysis of a structure and I added mass to the structure through edgemass and facemass when I built the model. So when I need to calculate the load of the structure, do I need to consider the self-weight of the member? Thank you.

You need to define both mass and weight (as a load). This is necessary because you do not actually model the gravity acceleration (0, 0, -9.8 m/s^2). Instead, you typically do a static analysis, so the effect of mass*gravity should be done with loads
