OpenSeesMP.exe won't open

Hello,

So, when I try to execute OpenSeesMP.exe, installed from OpenSees-Solvers-1.0.1-Installer.exe (Nicola Tarque), the "OpenSeesMP.exe has stopped working" window will immediately pop up

I uninstalled a previous version of MPICH2 and it still did'nt work. I have tried running it as and admin too with no luck.

The sequential version OpenSees.exe is running well.

Has anyone had this problem before?

I don't know if you did but do not install MPICH or any other MPI library on your computer. I did this before and it really messed my computer that I couldn't solve it how hard I try.

Prof Tarque's pack has a built in MPI library. I reinstalled a clean Windows and only installed Prof. Tarque's pack and it is running well now.

Thanks vokumus for the reply. Probably you need to find on the web a detailed tutorial on how to completely un-install MPICH2 from your PC. Probably a simple un-install will not clear all the feature and registry changes the original installation did.

I would like to remind that some antivirus and firewall softwares can block mpiexec.hydra software so it is good to define proper exceptions.
