Hi I have question about interation part.

I was create node to node interation to create zerolength element in abutment part and merged.
After running anlaysis, I found something strage node in "elements.tcl"
There are 31 nodes in "nodes.tcl" but in the follwing picture, element(zerolength) 32,33,25,34 have node number which is over 31. I want to fix this to element 33 have node 19, 24 not 19, 33
I think this is happed beacouse I created node to make node to node interastion for generate zerolength element 32,33,25,34 . So I think making node to node interaction not create node but create vertex to solve this problem.
How can I do that?

And I wonder why element 32,33,25,34 is defined under ndf 3 unlike other elements.
I input element 32,33,25,34's material in 4 direction(1,2,3,6) just like other zerolength element located at the top of the picture but since the ndf is defined as 3, it didnt work.

Lastly, how can I change "-orient" part from '1 0 0 1 0' to' 1 0 0 -1 0' ?

Please help me.

regarding the orientation for zeroLength, you need to create a new LocalAxes with the desired orientation and assign it to the interaction

Hi it's me again!

I have some progress in my STKO modeling by modifying the tcl script which is created after Analysis running.

Now I just need to modeling in stko according to the modified script , but problems are I dont know how to chage ndf of every node and element to 6.

And there are some issues Norm delta R is to big. How I can redus norm delta R when running NormEnergyIncr?

Dear User,

This happened when you attach zeroLength elements to floating nodes that are not part of an element (they default to 3D-U).

Now we made a change in the external solver so that it will work. That is, if your zeroLengthMaterial physical property is 3D-UR, then also the floating node will have the same.

It will be in the updated version of STKO in few days. In the meantime I prepared a wetransfer link with the updated external solver directory. Follow these steps:

1. download external_solver.zip at the following link: LINK
2. delete the external_solver directory in C:\Program Files\STKO
3. extract external_solver.zip, there you will find a new external_solver directory, copy it in C:\Program Files\STKO
