Good morning STKO team.
I am modeling a pile to then perform a dynamic analysis in 2D. I was reviewing the 3D webinar about this but it is different in 2D.
How can I model the interaction between the pile and the soil? Should I cut the geometry of the soil mass or add a line?
Attached is my model, (the properties are not defined yet but for now I am only interested in modeling the interaction between the soil and the pile).
I also add an image of what I want to model. (https://opensees.berkeley.edu/wiki/inde ... Foundation)

Re: 2D Soil Pile Modelling
It's not clear to me how you want to model it.
From the image, you are referring to the modeling of soil as a series of equivalent springs.
In the model instead you are modeling the soil with continuum elements.
