meshing irregular solids

Dear Stko team,

I hope you are doing well.

I have some issues with making a mesh in irregular solids. Could you please guide me how to do it?. Please find attached an example.

I already can run analysis and so on, but when I change to irregular "figures" the meshing just fail.

Hi, It seems there are some issues with geometry (possibility of having very short edges). Have you imported the geometry into STKO? If that is the case, you can export the solid geometry as *.stp file and import into STKO and do merge and then mesh it using unstructured tetrahedron option.

Hi, Sorry I tried my best to figure out the issues in your geometry. I could achieve meshing the top portion only. The geometry of the model is complex, particularly in the lower portion of the model, there can be some short edges that creates the issue. You can recreate the lower portion, add every small geometry in a step-by-step manner and simultaneously check for successful meshing. In this way you can come to know where the issue is.

Also, the main issue with your geometry is that it comes from a STL or Obj (it's clear that it is tringulated). It would be better if you work on a clean geometry
