Dear STKO Team:
hllo
there is a section with Prestressed reinforced concrete ,the section is circle section with prestrees bar . please see the attached files . how to fiber the section .
thank you very much.
how to fiber a section
Re: how to fiber a section
What do you mean?
How to draw the circular section and mesh it?
or how to apply pre-stress?

Re: how to fiber a section
dear
1、how can I use stko to draw the circular section and mesh it ? like rectangular fiber section i attached.
2、which material I can use for pre-stress? Reinforcing steel is right?
3、how to creat a simple beam/bar only deliver load, have not section.
you can give me some case about prestress concrete model or where can find some model?

Re: how to fiber a section
You should use the Fiber section for generic shape sections. Check the user manual from page 721、how can I use stko to draw the circular section and mesh it ? like rectangular fiber section i attached.

You can choose any steel material model.2、which material I can use for pre-stress? Reinforcing steel is right?
To include prestress, you can create an InitialStress uniaxial material, that takes the original material, and applies a user-defined initial stress. Then you can use this modified material in your cross-section.
You can find it under Physical Properties->materials->uniaxial->Other Unixial Materials->InitStressMaterial
In this webinar, among other things, we have shown how to use the InitStressMaterial to model tendons.
Check this video at about minute 44 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXi55FwpOI0)
If you don't need a beam, you can just use a truss. In this case you need to define:3、how to create a simple beam/bar only deliver load, have not section.
- The steel material
- The initStressMaterial
- The truss physical property.
Chhose trype = truss
uniTag = the InitStressMaterial previously created
elastic_Section = any section. You just need it to obtain the area
