DamageTC3D in RC shear wall

Post by [email protected] » Sat Mar 12, 2022 1:35 am

I'm the first to attach the STKO software, before I study ABAQUS. I followed the teaching video about RC shear wall in Online Course Day 1 (https://asdeasoft.net/?university-courses) to establish the model. But the scd model files I established and downloaded on the webpage could not run successfully. If the DamageTC3D is wrong? I don't know the reason, I want to run an example model and learn how to establish.

The scd models files and running question picture are provided in attachment. The scd model file named by “wall-study-220310” is what I established, and the scd model file named by “wall-teach-220310” is download in the webpage.

Could you tell me the reason and how to solve the question? Thank you.

It's because it was done with a very old version of STKO, where we did not have an adaptive time step.

You can simply set the duration and number of increments (and the adaptive time step) directly in the analysis command, and get rid of the last custom command.

The concrete 1D property and 3D property were designed as Image and Image, but the error is as Image.
At the same time, there are other running errorsImage, I don't know how to solve it.
Look forward to your reply.

Don't worry, those are not errors!
They are just messages to make sure that the plugin library (pdm) is correctly un-loaded (destroying library handle) and to count the number of materials used in the model.

The program did not stop running with an error. It's just finished correctly (ANALYSIS SUCCESFULLY FINISHED is a message that says that the analysis is done.)

Now, in that folder you should find a file with the *.MPCO extension. (if you used the MPCO Recorder command).
In the STKO post processor you simply need to load that file (Load DataBase command)

Thank you for your reply.
Sorry, maybe I'm not being clear. I do not get the results. Because, after I submit the model file, the progress ran a few senconds and then teminited. And the .mpco file is only 1.75 MBImage, which is far samller than the size of .mpco file on the teaching vedioImage.
I thinck that there is some wrong. Could you try to run the .scd file named by "wall-teach-220316" in the attachment

? And you can find where the wrong is. Thank you.

It's because in the horizontal analysis you set a duration = 0.
In this way, it was skipped.

Put 1 instead.
