Actually it is not elastic, there are contact elements which are non-linear. So it make sense, that's why I was asking this:
Anyway, it typically happens when the model is highly non-linear, so the solver needs to do a lot of PIVOTING in the factorization of the system, but our example about the 3D model should be elastic... what model are you referring to?
