How to save contour map

Post by kesavapraba » Tue Apr 13, 2021 8:09 am

Dear Sir/Madam
How do we save the surface color map, which is normally visualized in the post-processor of STKO, as for example PNG or PDF, etc? I use STKO v2.0, I do not see any option in it. Kindly help me out. Thanks

Dear kesavapraba,
the easiest way is to capture your screen. I recommend using "Snipping Tool" or similar programs. You can find Snipping tool here: Programs->Windows Accessories-> Snipping Tool.
Best regards

Dear Sir/Madam
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have been doing the same so far; however, I was expecting an option to save the color map either as *.eps or *.pdf or something like that so that I can scale up in the graphics while publishing research articles in the future. Please do consider such an option in the upcoming release of STKO, I hope it would be really helpful in many ways.

We put it in our to-do list, but it's not ready yet.
In the meantime you can obtain a vector image from a raster image using a simple online tool:
https://www.vectorizer.io/

Just make sure to capture the raster image as large as possible, the larger the raster image, the better the vectorization.
To make room for a larger image in STKO, you can temporarily hide the worktree/editor/script/terminal widgets like this:
