Mesh Error

Post by DeelakaSathsara » Wed Apr 22, 2026 1:16 am

Dear Team,

I have modeled a fully modular steel building and used 2 node link elements yo model inter-modular connections. When I run the analysis it gives an error message saying there are 4 nodes in the 2 node element and wrong mesh type assigned. I have only applied global mesh with division 1. Please help me out with this. The model is attached herewith.

Thank you.

The error is clear:
you assigned a forceBeamColumn (2 nodes) to a tetrahedron solid mesh (4 nodes).
You either change your mesh to a frame model, or use a tetrahedron finite element
