Modelling Soil liquefaction

Post by willmj » Wed Nov 05, 2025 12:13 pm

Hi,
I am an engineering student at durham unviersty and for my final year project i am modelling soil liquefaction using STKO. I plan to do this using 'u-p' elements and am interested to know what experience people have with using the various 'u-p' elements in STKO when it comes to modelling soil liquefaction in undrained contiondoins or similar etc...? Any other information and tips for modelling would also be appreciated.

Thanks,
Will

It's a quite generic question to answer. I think the best way would be to first look into the opensees documentation about the UP elements.
Then in this forum, search for "Liquefaction" and see related posts
