Merging

Post by Zamiad » Fri May 09, 2025 1:42 pm

Hello,
I have a problem with the merging. When I try to merge the walls and and the beams and columns, the software automatically delete some of the elements.
If I do not merge this what happens for the meshing? at what nodes do the program calculate. As can be seen in the picture, in the meshing the beam element(red line) for example has not the matching nodes with the wall...
The stko file is attached too.
Thanks,

When I try to merge the walls and and the beams and columns, the software automatically delete some of the elements.
This is normal, because when you merge 2 edges from 2 different geometries, STKO keeps the property assignments of one of them.
So the best way to do it, is to first do your merges and then assign properties
