Constitutive model and bi and tridirectional analysis

Post by Aliyaghfoori » Wed May 21, 2025 6:50 am

Dear STKO
Is the use of constitutive models such as PDMY or Manzari-Dafalias appropriate for modeling soil behavior under bi or tri-directional earthquake loading?
Can these models accurately predict the response of sand to vertical (Z-direction) ground motions?
Thanks
