RE: Viewing plastic points in elastic-plastic analysis.

Hi,

I am currently modelling a monopile embedded in sand (modelled by elastic plastic material) subjected to a monotonic load.

Is there a way to view the points that have yielded (plastic points) in the result plot viewer? How I can identify the points that have yielded (reached plastic state)?

It really depends on the material model you are using. sometimes a model has an internal variable like "plastic multiplier" or "equivalent plast strain", that by definition are values that track the irreversible process of yielding.
if not, you can just set the range's min value of a gauss plot to the yield stress (using the Exclude option, to hide points lower than that value). Note: this method will just work correctly if you don't have stress cycles
