Re: Pile lateral loading in SANISANDS

Dear STKO team,

I have not received any updates on this issue.

would it be possible to follow up the issue I encountered?

Thank you so much!

Re: Pile lateral loading in SANISANDS

I found the reason is because the shear modulus of rigid link and pile beam was set as zero in the modified model. so I change it to that of steel and the model can be run properly.

I noticed the node force was set as a target lateral displacement, but for analysis step: pile lateral loading, it ...

Re: RE; Force displacement behaviour and extraction

Thank you for your response, I noticed you have provided a modified model in my post viewtopic.php?t=3367

But it cannot run properly in my computer, I have left some information on that post

Kind regards

Re: Pile lateral loading in SANISANDS

Very many thanks for checking the model, but when I am trying to run it, the following errors appeared see attached.

I use opensees (0) and the version of opensees is 3.7.2 64 bit.

could u please tell me whats wrong with it?
Thanks!!!!

Pile lateral loading in SANISANDS

Dear stkoteam,
I am trying to model pile lateral loading using sanisand soil.
Both soil and pile are modelled as SPP brick elements. Pile material was set as elastic with the physical parameter of steel. pile inner diameter was connected to the central node at mudline through elastic beams, pile ...

Re: RE; Force displacement behaviour and extraction

Hello, Ryancwl95, I encountered the similar problem for SANISAND model in STKO see attached. So i started to check the soil stress to make sure the plasticity is activated, and I found another serious BUG, if there are more than two brick materials (the pile is brick element as well in my model ...

The lateral pile load 3D model fails to converge

Dear STKO team,

I established a pile lateral loading model but found the simulation cannot converge.

I am not sure if I set something wrong for the analysis steps.

I attached the .scd file here and could you help me to check what is wrong with it?

Best regards,

Jiangtao

The plastic part of ManzariDafalias(sanisand) mosdel is not successfully activated

Hello, I am trying to simulate pile lateral loading using the SANISAND model. However, the pile lateral load–displacement curve is completely linear, and plasticity part of this model is not activated. The model parameters are taken from those provided in the OpenSees documentation.

I attached the ...
