Dear STKO Team,
I hope you are doing well.
I would like to kindly ask whether STKO already offers an option to model heterogeneous soil using a random soil media approach.
What I mean is not the conventional layered soil approach, where each soil layer has a specific thickness and the same ...

Derive the Impedances Numerically
Dear STKO team,
I hope you are doing well.
I would like to kindly request your assistance regarding the following numerical example.
I am trying to learn how to derive impedance functions through a numerical model, so I started with a very simple case: a stiff, massless foundation bonded to a ...

Cyclic Test (Input Validation)
Dear STKO team,
First of all I wish you a happy new year.
I am reaching out to kindly ask your insight about the following point:
So I just modelled a 2D model of soil (1mX1mX1m) and did run a cyclic loading test, the analysis is running fine as following:

I had given as ...

Discrepancy Between Input Motion and Output Response at the Absorbing Boundary Condition
Dear Stko Team,
I would like to kindly ask for your insight regarding the following problem:
I have a simple 2D model of a single soil layer, modeled as elastic. Both the soil and the absorbing boundaries have the same material characteristics. The model runs fine. I used the same input motion ...

Re: PML element in STKO
Dear Stko Team ,
Thank you for your response,
I did not pay attention to the new updated as it was edited from the previous response.
As you mentionned earlier in your replay, that the implementation is quite stright forward for the PML. Can we do that for the 2D case . I guess this would help ...

Re: OpenSees Solver 3.7.2
Yes , i do have the same issue. As i said in my previous post , the models were running for the old versions but not with the new one.

Re: OpenSees Solver 3.7.2
Thank you for your response,
Sure here are some models, which do run for me when i use the 3.4 version, these models I have downloaded them from the forum , which were posted by you :
