Re: Failure to run analysis

Supplementary explanation : I ignore the properties of the zero length unit, and there is no longer a prompt error after changing the ' 2D ' to ' 3D ', but there is still a convergence problem.

Failure to run analysis

Dear STKO team,
I am trying to build a complete bridge, adding bearings and beams on the basis of the original piers. I refer to the modeling methods that have been used in the forum, using zero-length elements to simulate bearings and using elastic elements to simulate beams, but they cannot run ...

Re: About FRPConfinedConcrete

Yes, the material model that you used is a uniaxial one, which is a general model and can be used to simulate any other identical material. However, you should check if the required features of UHPC are properly represented by the uniaxial model. Otherwise, you can try "Concrete02" with/without ...

Re: About FRPConfinedConcrete

Hi, I can see only 16 out of 18 parameters of FRPConfinedConcrete material definitions are shown in STKO widget. Two parameters "fyl" and "useBuck" are missing. This issue will be communicated to STKO Team.
Now, as a quick fix, I would suggest you to manually edit the FRPConfinedConcrete material ...

About FRPConfinedConcrete

Dear STKO team,
I am trying to use FRPConfinedConcrete Material, I have filled in all the information about it, but when I run the analysis I am prompted with an error in the material model, the error message is as shown in the figure, so the reason for the error is whether it is due to incomplete ...

Re: Error in eigenvalue analysis

Hi,
the first error ForceBeamColumn3d::update() could not invert flexibility for element with tag: typically arises when the Section tangent cannot be inverted due to certain conditions. This error may occur if there are perfectly plastic materials with a zero tangent or if something in the ...

Error in eigenvalue analysis

Dear STKO team
I'm trying to do an eigenvalue analysis on a reinforced concrete bridge pier, but I'm getting an error when I run the analysis, I've attached a picture of the error report and my model file, can you give me some advice on how to solve the problem, thank you very much!
Best wishes

Hi,. For concrete02 material, the ultimate strain should be changed to match the fracture energy.
Okay I got it. Thanks a lot.

Re: Failure to analyze after adding zero-length elements

Hi, the solution given in the response by STKO_Team is different from the one you followed in the model. I have modified your model following the solutions provided by STKO_Team. Please check if the results make sense. Attached is the revised model.

Thank you very much for your help, I still ...
