In my Work Tree -> Analysis steps, how do I adjust the order of my steps in a convenient way? Do I always have to remove and redefine everything if errors need to be corrected or new intermediate steps to be added?

You right click on the empty space near the "Home, Geometry, Interaction ..." tabs, and select them back.
