Re: Beam-to-Solid-Bar-Slip

What STKO team meant is different.
The bond behavior of smooth rebars is completely different from that of ribbed rebars. If you like to model the micromechanical behavior of the ribbed rebars you need to model all the details.
Look at the picture attached. The bond of the ribbed bars is ensured ...

Re: MPCO recorder in OpenSees 3.3.0

Unfortunately, the MPCO recorder does not work on 3.3.0. You can either use:

Re: contact parameters

Dear Wngyun,
Kn: Normal stiffness. It is the Elasticity modulus in the normal direction to the contact element. You can assume 10~100 times the smallest value of E of the elements in contact.
Kt: Shear stiffness modulus. It is the Elasticity modulus in the tangential direction to the contact ...

Re: Dividing geometries

More or less. The merge option will force you to have the same mesh size, while with the embed option you can also use different meshes (very useful in SSI). The only thing you can't capture is rocking, if you like to capture rocking you need to use the 3D contact interaction we developed.
