To evaluate STKO + OpenSees software, proof of status is required.
If you are a student or a faculty, downloading an evaluation version or purchasing an education version of STKO + OpenSees requires a valid student or faculty school ID that includes the student or faculty members name, date, and photo.

If such an ID is not available, then any of the following qualifies as proof of your status as a student or faculty:

• Students
• • Photocopy of your class registration
• • Photocopy of your class schedule
• • Photocopy of your school bill
• • URL of your institution’s publicly accessible web page or web directory that proves your student status

• Faculty/Staff
• • Photocopy of your class schedule
• • Faculty/staff pay stub from the current school term
• • URL of your institution’s publicly accessible web page or web directory that proves your student status

This version does not include the OpenSees solver. You need to install OpenSees by yourself. The easiest way is:

Download and install STKO

Download OpenSees 3.0.3 from this link OpenSees

Unzip the downloaded file and copy OpenSees.exe in "C:\Program Files\STKO\opensees\bin\OpenSees_303"

You are ready to go! STKO will automatically detect the OpenSees solver

Otherwise, if you have your own OpenSees solver located somewhere else (for example if you compiled your own version), you need to manually tell STKO where this solver is, running the Kits command in the Analysis Tool Bar. In this case don't forget that you also need to install HDF5 1.10.1 libraries in order to use the MPCO Recorder. If you don't want to install HDF5 you can copy the DLL files located in "C:\Program Files\STKO\opensees\bin\hdf5" in a location visible by OpenSees (for example the same folder where OpenSees is)
