This policy explains, in detail, how asdeasoft.net, along with its affiliated companies (hereinafter we, us, our, asdeasoft.net, https://asdeasoft.net/forum, the Forum, Asdea Software) and phpBB (hereinafter they, them, their, phpBB software, www.phpbb.com, phpBB Limited, phpBB Teams) use data collected from your use of the Forum.
Your information is collected primarily in two ways. Firstly, accessing and browsing the Forum will cause the phpBB software to create a number of cookies, which are small text files that are downloaded on to your computer’s web browser temporary files. The first two cookies simply contain a user identifier and an anonymous session identifier, automatically assigned to you by the phpBB software. A third cookie will be created once you have browsed topics within the Forum and is used to store which topics have been read, thereby improving your user experience.
The second way in which your information is collected is through what you submit to us. This includes, but is not limited to information posted as an anonymous user, your registration on the Forum, and posts submitted by you after registration and whilst logged in.
Your account will at a bare minimum contain a uniquely identifiable name (hereinafter your user name), a personal password used for logging into your account, and a personal, valid email address. Your information for your account is protected by data-protection laws applicable in Italy, where Asdea Software is located. Within the Forum, you have the option of controlling what information is publicly displayed, and can opt-in or opt-out of automatically generated emails from phpBB software.
Your password is ciphered (a one-way hash) to keep it secure. However, it is recommended that you do not reuse the same password across a number of different websites. Guard your password carefully, and under no circumstance will anyone affiliated with the Forum or phpBB ask you for your password. Do not trust 3rd party attempts to obtain your password. Should you forget your password for your account, you can use the “I forgot my password” feature provided by the phpBB software. This process will ask you to submit your user name and your email, then the phpBB software will generate a new password to reclaim your account. If for any reason you suspect that your username & password has been disclosed or obtained by another party you should contact us immediately.
